Adrad has introduced new Charge Air Cooler (CAC) Hoses to suit heavy-duty applications including trucks, buses and agricultural equipment.

Sometimes referred to as “hump hoses”, Adrad Heavy-Duty CAC Hoses are sourced from a quality accredited manufacturer operating to ISO 9001 & IATF 16949, plus European Union safety & environmental standards REACH, ROHS & CE.

These hoses provide low flow resistance and are designed to meet or exceed OE specifications, providing reliable operation and long service life. They are manufactured to the SAE J20R1 standard which outlines specific materials and performance criteria concerning heavy-duty service.

Hoses are available in various diameters ranging from 76mm to 114mm and can be reduced in length easily by simply trimming using a sharp knife.

Each hose is made from high-quality material with durable 4 ply reinforcement. Polyester material is used for the blue hoses (cold side) and aramid material is used for the orange hoses (hot side) where additional thermal resistance is required.

• Blue/cold hoses feature polyester construction for good tensile and abrasion strength, able to withstand operating temperatures between -50° C to 180° C.


• Orange/hot hoses feature aramid construction giving high tensile strength and excellent resistance to abrasion & wear. These hoses can withstand operating temperatures between -50° C to 220° C.

A series of 3 mm thick stainless-steel rings are fitted which reinforce hose strength to handle pressures up to 90 psi (burst pressure 175–260 psi), making them ideal for use in heavy-duty applications.
